Olympics Paris 2024 is going great for India!
On the first day of the Paris Olympics, the performance at Nebe India was heard in fantastic tones. Indian archers participated in the event on 25th July and now it appears that after the women, the men have also confirmed their ticket to the quarter finals in this archery team event. Not only this, India finished third in men's three events. Which is very happy news for us.
The first day of the 2024 Paris Olympics went well. After women's archery, men also performed well. Where India won on the first day. They reached the quarter final round on the first day itself. Dheeraj, Tarundeep and Praveen's outstanding performances can only be heard from Team India. 2013 points have been collected through the game with Korea at the top followed by France at second and our all-time favorite India at third.
Archery's single event Dhiraj performed brilliantly for us India. He finished fourth making it India's only all-round winner. Dhiraj has 681 points. He single-handedly took the fourth place beating the competition from several powerful countries like America, France and Turkey as we all know. From that point of view, India's Tarundeep Rai also did not give a bad performance. He however finished 14th in what could be Tarundeep's last Olympic tournament. He is one of the experienced athletics of India. Although till now he could not win a medal even once. Also there is Praveen Yadav who finished the game at number 39.
Also India did not perform too badly in the mixed team archery event. From that point of view, India's performance is quite good. This performance ended in fifth place. Team India collected a total of 1,347 points in this event. And along with that, there are girls too. Among the girls, Ankita Bhakta, 666 and Dhiraj Bomba Deva, 681, are at number 5. The first four places in this list are South Korea (1,380), Germany (1,351), America (1,349) and China (1,348).
Earlier, India's women archers had performed well earlier in the day. They too had already reached the quarter-finals of the tournament. Ankita Bhakta performed well in the women's singles event. He came in at number 11. Besides, Bhajan Kaur is at number 22. Deepika Kumari finished at number 23. It is noteworthy that India has not won any medal from the Olympics in the last 36 years. So will this hope be fulfilled in the city of love in Paris? As we all have seen the sound of India's victory on the very first day of play. We Indians are all waiting that maybe we can get a medal from this Olympics. The dream of so many years, the dream of so many years is going to be fulfilled now, let's see how successful it can be. It's just a matter of time. Only time will tell.
