India's World Cup team announced with surprise!!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup. India will play under the leadership of Rohit Sharma in this mega cricket event to be held in the United States and the Caribbean Islands next June.

The 15-member team includes experienced cricketers like Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jaspreet Bumrah. Wicketkeeper batsman Rishav Pant returns to the team after 16 months. However, star batsmen like Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh and KL Rahul and Dinesh Karthik have suffered.

Although Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh did not get a place in the main squad, they were kept as reserve cricketers by Ajit Agarkar's selection panel. However, Lokesh Rahul is not even in the list of reserve cricketers.

Wicket keeper batsman Sanju Samson got World Cup ticket as a reward for his great performance in IPL. There is no place for another wicketkeeper batsman Lokesh Rahul. Apart from this, there was uncertainty about Hardik Pandya, who returned to Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans in the current IPL, getting a chance in the World Cup team. This all-rounder is not in the same rhythm in the current IPL. Still the selectors trusted this experienced cricketer.

Pandya's partner in the World Cup squad as an all-rounder is Shivam Dubey. The selectors did not have the courage to drop Yuzvendra Chahal in the form he is in in the IPL. Chahal made it to the 15-man squad as the fourth spinner. Apart from Yuzvendra, India's spin department consists of Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel. No new cricketer made his IPL debut in the World Cup squad.
