how can RCB enter the playoffs !!

RCB has kept the hope of playoffs alive by winning four matches in a row.

Victory in four consecutive matches, what number can RCB still go to the playoffs? RCB has kept the hope of playoffs alive by winning four matches in a row.

Having won four matches in a row, still in the playoffs, RCB once seemed unlikely to make it to the IPL Playoffs 2024. But Royal Challengers Bangalore suddenly raised their playoff hopes by winning four matches. Virat Kohli is still alive in the IPL after beating Punjab Kings on Thursday. The Punjab campaign is over. RCB started dreaming. Which number Virat Kohli-Faf du Plessis can reach the playoffs?

RCB still have two games to play. Delhi on May 12 and Chennai on May 18 against RCB. Bengaluru 10 points from 12 matches after defeat to Punjab Kings. RCB is at number seven in the points table. Easy numbers for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli needs to win the last two matches. In that case Royal Challengers Bangalore's points will be 14.

RCB's remaining games are against Delhi and Chennai Super Kings. If these two matches are won, RCB's total points will be 14. Not just winning, Royal Challengers will have to look at the rest. Chennai will have to lose the rest of the matches. If Rituraj Gaikwad's team loses the remaining matches, their points will be 12. Even if Delhi and Lucknow do not get more than 14 points, the road to the playoffs is open for RCB. If the points of Chennai, Delhi, Lucknow and RCB are 14, then the net run rate of the teams will be seen.

RCB, however, can still qualify for the playoffs by finishing third. RCB still has that possibility as a number. RCB can reach number three in the points table with one jump from number seven. Royal Challengers Bangalore must win the last two matches for that. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad will have to lose their remaining two matches against Gujarat and Punjab while Chennai Super Kings will have to lose against Gujarat, Rajasthan and Bengaluru. Also, Delhi will have to lose to Bangalore and Lucknow. On the other hand, Lucknow will have to lose to Mumbai.
If all the above equations work out, RCB will have a good hope of finishing third. If RCB finishes third, then Lucknow Supergiants will finish fourth.

Secondly, in another equation, RCB could finish fourth. In that case, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings will have to lose the remaining games. Both teams have three matches left. They have a chance of getting 18 points. If either of these teams finish with 16 points, RCB's playoff hopes will end.

But if one of these teams finishes with 16 or 18 points and the other team finishes with 14 points, then RCB has a chance of making the playoffs. In this case, all three teams have 14 points. The ideal scenario for RCB is to keep the run rate better than CSK or Sunrisers and LSG and Delhi Capitals.

The situation for Royal Challengers Bangalore is not only about winning two matches, but also looking at the rest.
